Autumn, Shohola PA – Sometimes, it’s like a photograph finds you, like Autumn here. It was raining when I got to the lake, a misty rain and very dark. I went to the lake to shoot panoramas of the changing season, but none of them were working. The dock caught my eye, blowing about in the wind, and seemed so lonely sitting there by itself that you could almost hear the sound of isolation. I shot a series of images while panning the camera. The image wanted to be black and white to enhance that stark feeling. Autumn in Shohola, PA, like the rest of the North East has a lot of rainstorms.
