Fine art color photography of a gull. We were waiting for the cars to finish loading onto the ferry and watching the seagulls and cormorants crowding the piers surrounding the boat. Then the ferry took off. The sky was suddenly filled with birds, following the boat as it kicked up fish swimming close to the surface. I had never experienced that before. Peering over the edge on the deck, I saw this gull diving for fish and re-emerging. It was a split second to capture him and the resulting image doesn’t even look “real.”
